Oreo Cookie Dessert

Holy smokes…I had forgotten how yummy this dessert is.

1 (15oz) package Oreo cookies

3/4 cup melted butter

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup confectioners’ sugar

16oz whipped topping

1 (6oz) package chocolate instant pudding mix

Chop cookies finely. ( I put the cookies in a Ziplock bag and used the flat side of a meat mallet and destroyed them. lol!) Mix with melted butter in bowl. Press into glass 9×11-inch baking dish, reserving 1/2 cup for topping. Beat cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar and 2 cups whipped topping in mixer bowl until smooth. Spread mixture over cookie crust. Prepare pudding mix using package directions. Pour over cream cheese layer. Top with remaining whipped topping; sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs. Chill for 2 hours before serving.

Yield: 24 servings

I forgot to put the whipped topping on the top. LOL! It was still yummy!!!
