Happy Birthday!

June 28, 2010

On June 28, around 1:00 in the afternoon, a beautiful little boy was born in a hospital in Mississippi. He weighed nearly 9 pounds and had a 13 1/2 centimeter head. He was 22 inches long and was just as beautiful as his mom thought he would be.

It was raining hard when he was born. His big brother was waiting. His grandparents were waiting. His Daddy was waiting. His Mama was waiting. He passed his APGAR test. He was cleaned up and placed in his Mama’s waiting arms.

She smiled, and called him by name….Peyton Rayne. He was her second beautiful boy. She had loved him from the moment she knew he was inside her. She knew he was going to be very laid-back…he had been that way in her womb. While his big brother had moved constantly and kicked and jerked around, he stretched lazily.

8 years have passed. That little boy is still very laid back. He is a jokester. He is his Mama’s heart. He loves to give kisses and hugs to her. He loves his big brother, and his little sister. He sometimes feels left out since he is in the middle. But he isn’t forgotten. He isn’t left out. He is a precious, precocious young man.

Happy Birthday to my sweet Peyton. I love you infinity times infinity.
